So as I mentioned in my previous post I am currently reading a few books, I think I am rotating 4 of them total, and yes I will get to all of them, eventually. Well one of the books, which I have added to the sidebar for you to check out is another from Ester and Jerry Hicks "Ask and It is Given" it is more detail about how it is that we get what we get. I am so fascinated by it and also so dumbfounded that "we" sometimes think about what we want and then sometimes think about as the book says "the exact oposite" of what we want, and I thought about how ludicrious that is, think about it really, the fact that we think about exactly what we DO NOT want! Where did we learn this? How do we know to do that? And why is this so engrained in our brain that we would rather focus on things we do not want.
In an effort not to make myself crazy (haha, focusing on what I don't want huh?) I have decided to break this down and make conscious effort to notice when I am doing this and gently begin to steer my mind in a new direction. As I was reading this book, it really made me think of hypnosis. Because in hypnosis one of the things we do it bypass the critical faculty, which is effect really "the part of us" that tells us we cannot have what we want or how to focus on what we don't want. It is all based on our past live experiences and belief systems, but belief systems do not make something so, they only make us believe they are so. And so in hypnosis, we begin to install at the unconscious level new ways of thinking that are more useful. As I have mentioned, is it real or not real? I don't really care about that one way or the other. Is Ester REALLY channeling Abraham? Who cares. What I do know is that I find great value in what she is saying and it feels good to my spirit to take control of my life in this way and to slowly over time groom my thoughts towards the things that I want, and just live in bliss. Wow! Think about that, if we had a life free from drama. Most of us have had so much drama we don't even know what that would look or feel like. But you know that state of mind you are in when you are at the beach looking out on the ocean or deep into meditation or hypnosis and your mind is clear from all that chatter, I really want more of that, in the waking state. Really cool. Anyway, add this book to your list if you are interested in feeling good. I know I am and it is an amazing read.
